What is SG Custom Sound's Most Unique Item?
You might be bowled over by the Douglaston speaker shop's most eccentric item for sale.
SG Custom Sound, located at 40-33 235th St. in Douglaston, sells custom speakers as well as repairs electronics.
The store's owner, Scott Gramlich, said SG's most popular service was repairs and installations, but its most expensive item is a pair of "morning glory speakers" that cost $5,500.
However, the shop's most unique item is a toilet that Gramlich retrofitted into a speaker system with a flusher acting as volume control and a subwoofer in the bowl.
"It's a bachelor pad item," he said. "I'm not sure of the wife acceptance factor."
