UNO to Host Fundraiser for Alley Pond Environmental Center
Restaurant will donate 20 percent of its profits on Nov. 13 to environmental center.
Bayside’s UNO Chicago Grill is hosting an event to raise funds for Douglaston’s Alley Pond Environmental Center on Nov. 13.
The fundraiser will take place at UNO, which is located at 39-02 Bell Blvd.
The eatery will donate up to 20 percent of each check toward the environmental center’s programs.

“They have a grant-giving program in which they assign a day to give a local place – in this case, Alley Pond Environmental Center – 20 percent of whatever business they get for the day,” APEC’s Hilda Bloch said. “We’re hoping a lot of people will eat at UNO that day.”
Patrons should bring in the coupon that is attached to this story to take part in the donation.
