The bad news is, gas prices in the New York Metro area are up 6 cents from last week with the average price for gas now $3.89 (Regular) and $4.10 (Premium).

Across the U.S., retail price for all grades of gasoline went up on average $0.034 this week, and ranges between $4.32 and $3.75, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
This week's local gas prices represent a 92 cent (Regular) and 89 cent (Premium) increase in price from one year ago.
