Stop & Shop Donates 1,000 Pounds Of Food To QJCC For Passover
Queens Jewish Community Council food pantry in crisis as holiday approaches
Stop & Shop, with locations across Queens including on Northern Boulevard in Little Neck, feels a lot more like a member of the community this week, especially to Jewish families in need.
The grocery store chain pledged a donation of 1,000 pounds of food to the Queens Jewish Community Council food pantry on Thursday, helping the organization stock its shelves at the most crucial time of the year.
Requests for kosher food at food pantries has been on the rise in recent years, and as a result, organizations like the QJCC have trouble keeping their cupboards stocked.
