Samuel Field Y to Host Book Fair on April 9 at Barnes and Noble

Portions of each sale at the Bay Terrace store will go toward the Y's early childhood programs if customers mention the book fair.

Little Neck’s Samuel Field Y will host a book fair on April 9 at Bay Terrace’s Barnes and Noble to raise funds for its early childhood programs.

The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., will include a full day of activities, including an after school program for local children, story time readings by the Y’s Early Childhood Program Director Bradley Richman, a workshop on how to choose a pre-school program for your child and a performance by the Y’s drama club.

“We have nursery, not-quite nursery and a wide variety of programs for kids, ages 2 to 5 years,” said Jared Mintz, a spokesman for the Samuel Field Y. “So, we’re doing this to get funding for some of our programs. It will go toward classrooms and books.”
