Stop By Great Neck Plaza for a Summer Sale

Are you tired of big, impersonal department store shopping and looking for a smaller, quainter setting? If so, check out the summer sidewalk sale at Great Neck Plaza.

With more than 250 fine shops and restaurants, the plaza has become known as one of Long Island’s premier shopping districts and features some of the most unique boutiques in the region.

The sidewalk sale will kick off at the Great Neck Business Improvement District between Bond Street and Grace Avenue. Shoppers can pop in the plaza's numerous shops and check out the menus at the eateries along its restaurant row, which frequently features live music.

Stores include everything from art galleries and men's, women's and children's clothing to specialty candy and food shops, electronic stores, hair and nail salons, spas, gyms, shoe boutiques, toy stores and yoga studios.

The plaza's wide variety of culinary choices include traditional American, Asian fusion, French, Greek, Italian, Kosher, Mediterranean, Mexican and seafood. Those with a sweet tooth can obsess over the dessert shops and candy stores along the plaza.

There are more than 1,000 two- and four-hour metered street parking spaces near the plaza as well as a free municipal parking garage, which opens after 3 p.m. on weekdays and is available all day Saturdays and Sundays.

The sidewalk sale takes place on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., June 24 and June 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and June 26 from noon to 5 p.m.
