Pier 25A is a Northeast Queens Hot Spot for Fresh Fish

If you have a craving for seafood, then make sure to head to Pier 25A at 215-16 Northern Blvd. in Bayside. Owner Gus Theofanis says the eatery’s fish is the freshest around.

"We have the best seafood in the whole city of New York - we go to the market every day," Theofanis said.

The family-owned restaurant has stood out on the route it's named for - 25A - for the past 28 years.

On the menu, there's everything from filet of lemon sole or swordfish to tilapia and tuna as well as all the shellfish you could imagine.

Theofanis recommends Seafood Fra Diavolo, "a pasta with a mixed seafood - shrimps, scallops, clams, mussels, all in a hot, spicy sauce."

Other choices include Salmon Dijonnaise - a filet of Norwegian salmon sauteed in Dijon mustard and Bouillabaisse that is mixed with South African baby lobster tails, shrimp, scallops, assorted fish, clams and mussels in a brandy sauce.

Pier 25A also offers lobster fresh out of the tank. For the kids, there’s a children’s menu that includes chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and burgers.

Entrees are $20 or more. The restaurant is open every day starting at noon. Be sure to take advantage of Pier 25A’s valet parking.
