Bayside BID to Vote in Board of Directors on July 16

Group will hold annual meeting and election at Redeemer Lutheran Church.

The will elect its board of directors during the group's annual meeting on July 16 at .

The meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m., will include a presentation of the current financial position of the BID and achievements of the past year as well as the election of its board of directors. Only registered members of the BID will be able to vote in the election.

Those interested in being included as part of a slate of candidates or proposing their own slate for the board should contact the BID's nominating committee by emailing slate@baysidevillagebid.com or calling 718-423-2434 no later than July 2.

According to the BID's bylaws, each slate running for election must include seven landlords, one commercial tenant and one residential tenant.

In a recent TimesLedger article, former Executive Director Gregg Sullivan said he was interested in putting together his own slate for the election. The BID , purportedly for insubordination, in December 2011, but he has not gone quietly.

Lyle Sclair has been acting as the BID's director, despite some dissension among members of the group. Current BID Chairman Jim Riso told the TimesLedger that he would not seek reelection, but would remain active on the boad.
