Bayside BID to Host Roll Up the Gates Event on Sept. 10

Business owners will be able to look at spaces available for rent on Bell Boulevard during BID's event.

Business owners who are considering a move to Bell Boulevard will be able to get a glimpse of available space during a Sept. 10 event being hosted by the .

Lyle Sclair, director of the BID, said the Roll Up the Gates event will be an open house for retail, commercial, professional and office spaces for rent.

"It's an opportunity to see what properties are available for rent in Bayside," he said. "A number of second-floor spaces will be coming online in the next few months. This will be an opportunity to try to fill the spaces that exist."

Sclair cited several stores - such as Subway, , Bare Burger and the upcoming Pour House - that have opened along the commercial strip in recent months as a sign that businesses were being drawn to Bayside.

"We want to make sure we have the right tenant mix for Bayside," Sclair said. "We want to bring people here to show them what makes it a great place."

The Roll Up the Gates event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The BID will also host a sidewalk sale on Sept. 22. Specials for stores in the community will be posted on the BID's website in the next few weeks.

"I've been getting a lot of positive feedback and a lot of business owners are excited," Sclair said. "We're coming up with a bunch of good ideas for the sale."
