Reminder: Douglaston Arts Festival Taking Place Today

Festival will return to 235th Avenue after skipping a year.

Don't forget to drop by the Douglaston Arts Festival, which is taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today along 235th Street on both sides of the Long Island Rail Road station.

The festival, which was cancelled last year, will include musicians, dancing and other forms of entertainment as well as food vendors, such as Smokin’ Aces BBQ and Charlie’s Deli.

Performers include bands Rusty Strings, Reprimand and Lucky Tones as well as an opera singer.

A total 30 to 40 vendors are expected to take part, selling everything from photography, artwork and pottery to arts and crafts, jewelry and honey.
