QCC's Fall Concert Lineup Includes Boy Bands, Country Music Tribute

Performances at college's performing arts center will vary from Hungarian folk songs to Pat Boone.

Queensborough Community College’s performing arts center has a full lineup of concerts this fall that includes a boy band reunion, a pop music legend and a country music tribute.

On Sept. 29, legendary singer and songwriter Pat Boone will perform his hits at 3 p.m. Tickets for the show are $45.

QCC will host a country music tribute on Oct. 5 during which look-alikes will sing hits by Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and others. The show will begin at 8 p.m. and costs $38.

Michelle Lee and the Broadway Boys will play the performing arts center on Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. The concert, which costs $40, will include Broadway hits from “Wicked,” “Jersey Boys,” “The Book of Mormon” and other shows.

James Darren will play big band and swing tunes and Sal Richards will provide the jokes at an Oct. 19 show that will begin at 8 p.m. and cost $40.

Two 1990s boy bands – All-4-One (“I Swear”) and Color Me Badd (“I Wanna Sex You Up”) – will perform at QCC at 8 p.m. on Oct. 16. Tickets are $45.

The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble will perform on Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. The show, which will cost between $35 and $42, includes folk music and dance numbers.

Improvised musical comedy “Broadway’s Next Hit Musical!” will perform at 3 p.m. on Nov. 24.

Lyrics, melody and choreography for the show, which costs $25, are made up on the spot.

Queensborough’s performing arts center’s spring shows will include an Elvis Presley tribute, Michael Bolton, David Alan Grier, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, Moscow Festival Ballet: Swan Lake, The Osmond Brothers, New York Tenors, The Manhattan Transfer and Mario Cantone.

The performing arts center is located on Queensborough’s campus at 222-05 56th Ave. in Bayside.
