QCC Performing Arts Center to Host Elvis Impersonator Show

Two singers will perform the 'King's' hits during Jan. 25 concert.

Northeast Queens residents will have the opportunity to get all shook up next month when Queensborough Community College’s performing arts center hosts a musical featuring an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Blue Suede Birthday: The Elvis Bash will kick off at 8 p.m. on Jan. 25 at QCC’s performing arts center, located at 222-05 56th Ave. in Bayside.

Performers Scot Bruce and Mike Albert will present an all-encompassing Elvis-themed event during which the former sings the hits of the 'King’s' early career through his Hollywood years and the latter performs tunes from his later years, jump suits and all.

Scot has so convincingly portrayed Elvis that Martin Guitars has presented him with a replica of an instrument that the company made for the legendary rock ‘n’ roller as a token of their admiration.

“This will be an electrifying musical event performed with superb reverence of the ‘King,’ one of the most significant cultural icons of the twentieth century,” said Susan Agin, executive and artistic director for the performing arts center.
