Parking Restrictions for Thursday and Friday

Television show will film along 41st Avenue and 234th Street.

Parking will be restricted along 41st Avenue and 234th Street on Thursday and Friday to allow for a television show to film in Douglaston.

“Blue Bloods,” a TV drama about a family of New York City police officers, will film sequences near Douglaston’s Long Island Rail Road station on Friday.

Parking will not be allowed on 41st Avenue along ’s side of the street and on 234th Street.

The parking rules will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Obviously, it…Read More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.
