“We started a drawing class, so we have a number of first time students in the show,” said Marie Marsina, the art league’s president. “But we also have work from our teachers.”

The pieces were drawn using everything from graphite and pastel to chalk, charcoal and pen and ink. They range in price from $120 to more than $1,000.

Rob Zeller, founder and director of Brooklyn’s Teaching Studios of Art, judged the show. Winners will be awarded at the league’s reception.

The First Place Winners exhibit represents the work of nine artists working in watercolor, oils and pastel. Pieces for this show are priced at more than $300.

“It’s a small show, but a wonderful one because the artists are all first place winners,” Marsina said. “They have some quality work.”

Each artist in the show is displaying three works apiece.
