Michele Lee, James Darren to Play QCC's Arts Center in October

Darren will be joined on Oct. 19 by Queens-born comedian Sal Richards.

Queensborough Community College’s performing arts center’s will host performances by an Emmy and Tony-nominated actress and a former teen idol this month.

Michele Lee and the Broadway Boys will play the arts center, located at 222-05 56th Ave. in Bayside, at 3 p.m. on Oct. 13, while James Darren and Sal Richards will team up for a show at 8 p.m. on Oct. 19.

Lee, who starred as Karen Fairgate MacKenzie on CBS’ “Knots Landing,” will perform Broadway hits from “Wicked,” “Jersey Boys” and “The Book of Mormon” during her show.

Darren, a former teen idol who was featured in TV shows “T.J. Hooker” and “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” will play big band and swing tunes, while Sal Richards will perform a comedy routine.

“I was born in Queens, so coming back to the old neighborhood is going to be a real treat for me,” Richards said.

Tickets for both shows cost $40.

“Every time you come to QPAC, you’re seeing something you can’t see any place else,” said Susan Agin, executive director for the arts center.
