Great Escape: Tribeca Film Festival

Getting away for an afternoon of indie film

Calling all Film Buffs! The 10th Annual Tribeca Film Festival kicks off Wednesday night.

And in addition to screening some incredible films this year's line-up is also filled with many community events —many of which are free.

On the marquee is a special anniversary screening of the hit film "A Beautiful Mind," which includes a special Q&A session afterwards with director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer, and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman.

The festival also sees a return of the popular Tribeca Drive-In at the World Financial plaza in Manhattan where participants will get to screen of the feature "Muppets in the Big City." 

Other public screenings include: Best New Feature Documentary, Best New Feature Narrative and Best New Screenplay.

So with ticket packages starting at $39 for matinee showings, you'll get to see some cool new films without going over budget.

And there's no greater escape than an afternoon out watching good films.
