Come and learn about Tibetan Contemporary Art with Master Artist Tenzing Rigdol! In this workshop students will be learning about Classical and Contemporary Tibetan Art by making their own works. Through a combination of theoretical and practical instruction students will start by learning about various Tibetan art forms, and gradually make their own works of art, culminating in a collective work to be shown at the Queens Museum of Art.

Tenzing Rigdol is a New York based artist. Mr. Tenzing is a graduate of the University of Colorado and has also trained under various masters at Shekar Chorten Monastery and the Tibet Thangkha Art School in Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Rigdol’s paintings are the products of collective influences and interpretations of age-old traditions. They are influenced by philosophy, often capture the ongoing issues of human conflicts, and have strong political undertones. Mr. Rigdol has exhibited widely in London, Madrid, Shanghai, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City among others.
