The contest will hold an opening ceremony with an address by New York City Councilman Peter Koo, Councilman Dan Halloran, and performances by past talent winners.
The ceremony will kick off three rounds of auditions that will run from July 9th thru August 20th.
The 2011 grand prize winners will receive a cash prize, special gift, trophy, certificate, and a possible contract to be on selected NYTV8 programs. The contest judges will choose a second and third grand prize winner and announce online awards that include Most Online Popular Award, Best Teamwork Award and Best Performance Award.
The talent show is open to auditions by bi-lingual contestants that can perform music, singing, dancing, martial arts or comical skits. Candidates from Queens, Brooklyn and New York City are welcome this year. NYTV8 is an international Chinese-language television station.
