Juliette Mayers Book Signing and Reception

Juliette Mayers, distinguished business executive and master networker will be in New York City on Saturday, March 24th for a book reading, signing, and reception. Ms. Mayers will be reading from her book A Black Woman’s Guide To Networking and then signing copies at the Hue-Man Book Store, at 2319 Frederick Douglass Blvd. (between 124th and 125th St). Afterwards, she will then be hosting a reception at the Aloft Hotel (right across the street at 2296 Frederick Douglass Blvd. Both events are free and open to the public.

Juliette Mayers is Executive Director of Multicultural Marketing at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. She is an award-winning executive, business strategist, passionate community advocate, and author of A Black Woman’s Guide To Networking. The book covers a range of important subjects for today’s business woman, such as advice on managing one’s personal brand, building a strategic and productive network, and maximizing the power of social media. The local, fresh fruit and vegetable market was a worthwhile addition to Douglaston. Obviously, itRead More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.

No specific reason was given other than this was at the initiative of the merchants or the market's organizers. And this..., just as we were beginning to enjoy the Long Island wines and the $34 per pound skirt steak, ordered two months in advance.
