Sen. Tony Avella (D-Bayside) will host a Friday Night at the Movies event at Queensborough Community College, on Friday, March 16.
The movie in question, Gasland, is a documentary surrounding director Josh Fox's research regarding hydrofracking, and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the school's Medical Arts Building, room M136.
Avella's stance on the matter will be highlighted as he will discuss his legislation (S.4220) and the fact that it would ban the act of hydrofracking in New York.
Prior registration is not required to attend this free event.
