Flights of Fancy Art Exhibit and Fundraiser

The Douglaston-Little Neck Historical Society is hosting an art exhibit and fundraiser event on Saturday, Feb. 12, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The exhibit is comprised a number of photographs of Douglaston, taken over the span of 2 decades, from 1925 to 1945. The artwork gives an aerial view of the neighborhood of Douglaston, including everything from houses and landmarks and everything in between. The proceeds of the event will go towards Dougaston's Village new initiative, better known as "The Master Plan," which will highlight such community topics as ways of going green and areas prime for development, to name a few.

Tickets to the event are $100, with raffles going for $25. Prospective guests are urged to contact the Historical Society by Jan. 23 to express their interest in attending, however, tickets will be sold at the door.
