Cinema Utopia: “The Name My Mother Gave Me” and “These Are My Names”

The center will host two films that attempt to explore the absorption of Ethiopian Jewish immigrants by Israel. The first film, “The Name My Mother Gave Me” follows Ethiopian and Russian Israelis as they participate in a leadership-training program in Israel. The second film, “These Are My Names” continues the theme of absorption into the Israeli community and the issues of identity surrounding it.
