Attendees will be able to listen to jazz and swing music during brunch at Fort Totten.

The Bayside Historical Society is hosting its third jazz and Sangria event at Fort Totten’s castle on May 5.

Susan Chesloff, the society’s office manager, said money raised during the event will go toward the group’s education and public outreach programs.

“It’s a brunch, so we’ll have some wonderful things to eat,” she said. “This is the third one we’re running. They’ve become increasingly popular.”

An ensemble will play jazz and swing music during the event. Although the menu has not yet been finalized, there is a possibility it will include some South of the Border cuisine due to the event being held on Cinco de Mayo.

Those interested in attending should RSVP by calling 718-352-1548 no later than May 3. Admission is $20, but historical society members will get in for $15.
