Bayside Historical Society Seeks Artists for January Show

Group will display work from Queens artists for two weeks in the New Year.

The Bayside Historical Society is searching for Queens artists who produce two or three-dimensional work to take part in the group’s annual juried art show in January.

The society will display “A Celebration of the Arts 2012” from Jan. 15 to 29 in its exhibit space at Fort Totten.

The group is currently calling for artists from the borough to send in two and three-dimensional works in various media. The fee is $30 per artist.

Artwork will be judged on the basis of content, technical skill and composition. Prizes will be awarded to three winners and ribbons will be handed out for honorable mention.

Each artist may submit up to four works.

Entry forms, which are available at the historical society’s website, must be postmarked or emailed by Dec. 18.
