With Heat Index Reaching as High as 100, Plenty of Places to Stay Cool

People sensitive to poor air quality should not spend time exerting themselves outdoors today.

A heat advisory is in effect today, as the temperatures is expected to reach a high of 96 degrees in Bayside through Tuesday evening. It may feel as hot as 100 degrees. Air quality is at moderate levels, which means unusually sensitive people should avoid exerting themselves outdoors.
