Whiz Kid: Sarah Alexis Petruccelli

·  Accomplishment: Level 5 Competitive Gymnast

·  Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Sarah has been taking gymnastics since she was 18 months old and is now a member of Lana's Gymnastics Team as a USA Level 5 Competitive Gymnast. Lana’s Gymnastics is based in Flushing. Sarah is gearing up for the Fall semester. She takes her practice seriously and her favorite event is Floor because it is expressive and similar to dance.

She was recently cast as a member of the Ensemble in Theatre By The Bay’s production of “Annie Get Your Gun” to be performed at The Bay Terrace Jewish Center this November. Sarah is looking forward to making her debut with the community theater group.

In September, Sarah will start fourth grade where she is part of the “apprentice program,” an independent study group. Her focus is science, and she may possibly study the human heart.
