Each week, Bayside Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. - Age: 17
- School: Bayside High School
- Accomplishment: Cheska scored a game high of 16 points for the Bayside High ladies varsity basketball team, during their Feb. 4 game against Forest Hills.
- Key to Awesomeness: Put simply, Cheska is a star athlete. In additional to varsity basketball, she plays varsity softball. She worked two summers in a row for the U.S. Open USTA in Flushing, according to her zinch.com profile. She has multiple distinctions that pertain to the basketball court: She was designated as Most Improved Player for 2008-2009, and Most Valuable Player in 2009-2010, a year she was also basketball team captain.
