Each week, Bayside Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. - Accomplishment: Amanda rocked the stage on her drum set at P.S. 209's Talent Show last May to the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. She also performed the role of Shanti in P.S. 209's Disney production of "The Jungle Book" last June, and the production did a one-time, one-number performance on the stage of Disney's New Amsterdam Theater on Broadway.
- Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Amanda takes on everything she does with enthusiasm and she's pretty amazing at everything she tries. She loves music, playing her drums, dancing, and the performing arts. She's a voracious reader and a wonderful creative writer, gets excellent grades in school, loves tennis, gymnastics, swimming, doing puzzles, rollerskating, crafting, and being best friends with her big sister, .
