1. The Bayside Historical Society has a new exhibit on “Bayside Life,” a magazine rich with local history that was published in the backdrop of World War II.  .

3. The Community District Education Council 26 meeting this month will be hosting by local students. Let’s show up to give these talented kids some well-deserved support.

4. The Gowanus Canal is an ecological nightmare. A legacy of dumping industrial waste and toxic petro-chemicals has transformed the canal into a noxious cesspool. The Gowanus is not in Bayside, but it’s still in our backyard and connected to our ecosystem. In honor of Earth Day, watch PatchCast at noon for an update on the troubled canal.
