West Nile Virus Spraying Monday in Northeast Queens
Department of Health will conduct spraying at Alley Pond Park and several local communities.
The city's Department of Health will conduct mosquito spraying at Alley Pond Park and several Queens communities on Monday morning.
The spraying will begin at 6 a.m. and will be completed by 7 p.m. on Monday.
Neighborhoods that will be sprayed include Alley Pond Park, Linden Hill, College Point, Edgemere and Somerville.
The DOH suggests following these guidelines during the spraying:
- Set air conditioner vents to the closed position.
- Remove children's toys, equipment and clothes from outdoor areas.
- People with asthma should stay indoors during spraying.
