The Department of Parks and Recreation said the city’s beaches would open on time for summer, despite ongoing post-Hurricane Sandy cleanup.

Tuesday

Pre-K registration opened, but Public Advocate Bill de Blasio said demand far exceeded supply in Queens.

Wednesday

Weekend

State Sen. Tony Avella, D-Bayside, and state Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, will host a town hall on the airplane noise that has been plaguing Bayside and Douglaston.
