The New York Lottery announced today that Saturday’s Powerball drawing has been increased to $300 million.
The $65 million jump from Wednesday’s $235 million jackpot is due to brisk sales across all participating Powerball states.
If no one matches all five numbers plus the Powerball in Saturday night’s drawing, the jackpot will continue to grow.

The largest Powerball jackpot to date was in May, when a denizen of Florida won $590.5 million.
