Event will take place on July 30 at the Y's Bay Terrace Center.
The Samuel Field Y will host a workshop for first-time homebuyers on July 30.
The event, which is being held through the Y’s Connect to Care program, will begin at 6 p.m. at the Bay Terrace Center, which is located at 212-00 23rd Ave. in Bayside.
Attendees will be able to discuss issues pertaining to buying a home, whether it’s a large house, a garden apartment or a co-op.

The event will include a panel of experts, including lawyers, accountants and mortgage specialists who will help attendees navigate the maze of buying a home.
They will explain what to expect during the process and what to be aware of as well as list several notable assistance programs.

Other topics will include qualifying for and selecting the right mortgage, understanding closing costs and the role of the realtor.
