Samuel Field Y to Host Winter Recess Trips During December's Last Week

The Y will take children to Fun Zone, bowling, Long Island Children's Museum and other sites.

The Samuel Field Y is offering a series of winter recess trips for the last week of the year that includes bowling, laser tag and a museum.

The Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, will host the trips from Dec. 23 to 31 for children in kindergarten through 7th grade. Each day will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Dec. 23, the Y will hold the Ultimate Game Show with Mainstages at P.S. 266.

Children will visit the Amazing Maze and the bouncy house at Long Island’s Active Kidz on Dec. 24.

The National Circus Project will teach circus tricks at P.S. 178 on Dec. 26, while youngsters can take a trip to the Long Island Children’s Museum, where they will witness a bubble show, on Dec. 27.

For Dec. 30, the Y will take a trip to Syosset Lanes for a day of bowling.

And, on Dec. 31, children will be able to play games, hop on rides or play laser tag at Long Island’s Fun Zone.

Parents should preregister their children because space is limited.

The trips will cost $60 per day for after school and camp families and $75 per day for nonmembers.
