Samuel Field Y to Host Concert for Autism, Kick Off Women's B-Ball League
On Oct. 20, Cellist Erich Schoene Rene will perform and the Y's first ever women's basketball league will make its debut.
Little Neck’s Samuel Field Y will host an interactive concert for individuals with autism and kick off its women’s basketball league this week.
The concert, which is being hosted at the Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills, with Music for Autism, will take place on Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.
Erich Schoene Rene, the show’s performer, is the principal cellist of the Chelsea Symphony and regular performer with Distinguished Concerts International New York, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas and numerous other orchestral and chamber ensembles.

The show is for individuals with autism as well as their families. Those interested in attending must RSVP by calling 877-863-7473 or visiting Music for Autism’s website. Admission is free.
Also, the Samuel Field Y is debuting its first-ever women’s basketball league on Oct. 20.

The league will have eight regular season games and single elimination playoffs. Games will take place at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 pm. on Sunday nights at the Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway.
