Queens Farm Museum to Host Easter Egg Hunt on March 30

Annual event will include hayrides, games, food and a visit from Whiskers the Bunny.

The Queens County Farm Museum will host its annual barnyard Easter egg hunt on March 30.

The day’s events will run from noon to 4 p.m. and admission will be $5 per person.

Attendees will be able to meet Whiskers the Bunny as well as take part in egg hunts, which will be ongoing in the farm’s orchard throughout the day.

The farm will offer a variety of other activities, including egg tossing, egg rolling games, dancing the Bunny Hop, visits with farm animals and hayrides.

Additionally, the museum will conduct tours of its historic farmhouse and its gift shop will be open.

Food and drinks will be available for visitors.

The farm museum is located at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway in Floral Park. There will be free parking at the farm on the day of the event.

The local, fresh fruit and vegetable market was a worthwhile addition to Douglaston. Obviously, itRead More did not receive the support of the community, at least not enough to make it a successful venture. This is sad. Every Sunday, rain or shine, I would stop at the market and purchase something. My favorite was the bakery stand. Often, when I stopped in the afternoon I would get two FREE French breads with my purchase. Parking was never a problem. The vendors where friendly and very informative. It was a perfect setting for the picturesque nature of this community. Too bad it is not returning.

No specific reason was given other than this was at the initiative of the merchants or the market's organizers. And this..., just as we were beginning to enjoy the Long Island wines and the $34 per pound skirt steak, ordered two months in advance.
