Event doubled as a Chanukah celebration and commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the march on Washington.
The Samuel Field Y held its Freedom Festival last weekend to celebrate Chanukah as well as commemorate the 50th anniversary of the march on Washington.
The Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, held the festival on Sunday, celebrating Chanukah and the 1963 march, where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
The event included crafts, sing-a-longs, games and open houses for the Y's Early Childhood and camp programs.
