1. Live Latin Music with the Latin All Stars
Where and When: Bay Terrace Country Club. On Friday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: The Bayview Dance Club will not only show you how it’s done, but will provide you with all you need to show off your skills or lack there of.
Price: $5 to attend. Cash bar.

2. 35th Annual Thunderbird American Indian Mid-Summer Pow Wow
Where and When: Queens County Farm Museum. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Why Go: This pow wow features more than 40 tribes, in dance competitions, along with plenty of food, jewelry, clothing and more for sale. The bon fire is definitely the highlight of Friday and Saturday nights.
Price: Adults, $10; Kids (12 and under), $5. Weekend passes, adults, $15; kids, $7.

3. Daidokoro
Where and When: At 4224 Bell Boulevard. On Friday or Saturday until 3:30 a.m.
Why Go: Drinks, food and music. All that you need on a Friday or Saturday night.
Price: Food and drink prices vary.

4. The Tempest by Shakespeare
Where and When: Main Park House in Cunningham Park at 196th Street and Union Turnpike.
Why Go: The Hip to Hip Theater Company will perform the time-honored classic, which will be preceded by a children’s workshop at 7:30 p.m.
Price: Free

5. The Odyssey
Where and When: Queensborough Performing Arts Center. On Sunday at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Students will perform the classic as adapted by QCC faculty.
Price: Free
