This will bring the Port Washington branch back to the level of service that was available prior to September 2010 when service during off-peak hours and on weekends was reduced as part of an MTA initiative to close a $900 million budget gap.

The restoration of 30-minute service on weekdays was previously accomplished in May 2012.
