A tranquil week in Little Neck

At the conclusion of this week, it's good to reminisce on all the events that have touched our lives, in some form or another.

Next week, I will continue to be your Editor. I want to say, I love working for you.

Monday

Gas prices continue to fluctuate. Usually up or down 5-9 cents. Unfortunately a downward trend is not yet visible, cash only. Also, Doug Fairtile is our first Veteran to be honored this month. Fairtile survived the    and helped liberate Dachau.

Tuesday

Rain did not stop your tenacious reporter from setting out to document the Pay Phones of Little Neck. The expose is a tell all guide to the 30, give or take, public phones in and around the neighborhood. Ofen overlooked, public phones are here if we need them.

Wednesday

School cuts? Council member Halloran to the rescue. Stto after school programming. About half the programs expected to be cut are here in Queens.

Thursday

Dream homes for sale: In our House Hunt Column, all the homes fresh on the market in Little Neck were posted. You can see if they are still available 

Friday

 While the Mayor announced cuts at the beggining of this week, the DOE announced that P.S. 188 in Bayside, and P.S. 18 in Middle Village could be selected to host a  for students. 

Saturday

Koren War Vet, was honored on Patch. For this Memorial Day, Patch has compiled a list of that you cannot miss. Readers are encouraged to comment and submit suggestions.
