Little Neck Named Second-Best Place To Raise Kids In NYC

Area cited in Daily News survey for its high-achieving schools, low crime rate and relatively-affordable housing

Both Little Neck and Douglaston scored high on the list of top New York City neighborhoods to raise a family, according to a Daily News report.

According to the survey, Little Neck scored second out of almost 200 officially designated city neighborhoods based on criteria ranging from air quality to low people turnover.

Bested only by Battery Park City in Lower Manhattan, Little Neck was one of four Queens neighborhoods making the Daily News' Top Ten, edging out Forest Hills (No. 4), Corona (No. 6) and Ridgewood (No. 7).
