Here are some important ones to keep in mind this week:

Dispose Of Your Hazardous Junk

You can clean out your home so you can bring hazardous wastes to the disposal event at St. John’s University on April 28th, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The NYC Dept. of Sanitation will be sending out more information in the mail

Tax Deadline

The filing deadline for federal income tax returns is April 17.

New York State’s return date and extension due date are also April 17. The due date after the extension is Oct. 15.

Don’t forget to clean out your basement, garage, closets, etc. for hazardous wastes and bring them to the disposal event on April 28th, between 10 am and 4 pm, at St. John’s University. Watch for flyers, in your mailbox, from the Department of Sanitation.

CDEC 26 Meeting

Community District Education Council 26 will host its monthly meeting on April 16 at 7 p.m. at M.S. 67, located at 51-60 Marathon Parkway in Little Neck.

The board will during the meeting. Interpretation services are available, but should be requested in advance by calling 718-631-6927.
