Historical Society to Host Tour of 176-Year-Old Douglaston Home

July 31 event will include a garden party with food, wine and cocktails.

The Douglaston-Little Neck Historical Society will host a tour and garden party that includes food and cocktails at one of the neighborhood’s oldest homes later this month.

On July 31, the historical society will conduct a tour of the 176-year-old home, located at 105 Depew Ave., from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The house, which is owned by long-time community residents Joan and Bill Rose, is one of the oldest properties in the Douglaston Historic District. It is located above the rail road tracks between the Douglaston and Little Neck stations and just around the corner from 42nd Avenue.
