Great Escape: Sundays on Bell

Bayside Village events in October

The businesses along Bell Boulevard are building a neighborhood feel with events this October, which will also spur sales along the way. These events from the Bayside Village Business Improvement District (BID), which constitutes an eight block strip between Northern Boulevard and 35th Avenue along Bell Boulevard and also includes one block east and west along 41st Avenue, are  a great way to “escape” close to home this month.

The will take place this Sunday, Oct. 9, from noon to 8 pm at Bell Boulevard and 41st Avenue. Bayside’s retail merchants will be showing off their best and there will be live music and bands performing at various locations throughout the day.

The second annual Bayside Village Arts and Crafts Fair happens Sunday, Oct. 16, where once again you can buy what you like and enjoy live music on Bell Boulevard. The October events end the last weekend of October, when storeowners will vie for the distinction of the most creative Halloween window display on Oct. 28-29. The Bayside Village BID will decide the winner, but the weekend will make for a great time to stroll “Bell” for some spooky window shopping.
