Great Escape: Lucille Roberts

Women getting stronger

It’s all about women at Lucille Roberts, a gym designed specifically for ladies looking to lose weight, get or stay fit. Many of the women join the gym specifically because they enjoy not having to deal with the high testosterone levels at other co-ed gyms.

The list of classes include Triple Fat Burner, Kick Some Abs, Mega Mix Workout, Zumba, Core on the Ball, Upper Cuts & Abs, Yogatone, Total Body Workout, Mat Pilates, Dance Aerobics, Just Dance and Hilt. Morning weekday and Sunday classes start at 9:15 a.m. and weekday evening classes start at 4:45 p.m. Saturday classes start at 8:30 a.m.

The lower level is dedicated to the aerobics equipment including stationary bicycles, treadmills, elliptical machines and Stairmasters. Personal training is also available for one-on-one attention. Babysitting is available Monday to Thursdays 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. if you need someone to watch your kids so you can escape.
