Great Escape: Laughing Buddha

Stress relief through yoga

Whether you are a newbie or a serious yoga practitioner, Laughing Buddha in Bay Bridge Commons can be your great escape. Its owners and instructors provide a welcoming place for all, declaring: “We are encouraging, nonjudgmental, and provide a safe environment to explore and play in the asanas. Have fun with whatever class you choose! Namaste.”

Yoga is about escaping from the outside world and releasing the stresses of the day. Laughing Buddha offers a full schedule of classes, catering to whatever time of day or week is your ideal for escape. Classes start as early as 6:05 a.m. and as late as 8:10 p.m., and range from 60 to 90 minutes. The class room can be heated to 105 degrees for hot yoga practices, but don’t worry if you can’t take the heat, there are plenty of other choices including Gentle Vinyasa for new students. Besides yoga, the studio offers Zumba, Boot Camp, Prenatal and Inside Out, a Pilates-inspired class to tone and sculpt. Teen classes are also available if your escape is to get your 15 to 19 year old out of the house.

Prices range for single classes from $17 for Zumba to $22 for a heated class. A 5 class Zumba card can be purchased for $70. Monthly unlimited classes start at $129 depending on time commitment. Longer packages available as well. Specials and discounts are often offered for new students.
