Great Escape

This nearby yoga studio offers classes that benefit the mind, body and soul.

For years, we’ve heard of the benefits of yoga for the body, from stress relief and relaxation to weight loss and posture alignment. Those who have not yet experienced the effects of yoga should visit Vitality Yoga and Tai Chi in Bayside for an introduction to this ancient practice.

The studio offers a variety of classes for all experience levels, focuses on improving the quality of life of its members by awakening their healing energy and enabling them to cultivate the power within them, all while creating balance and harmony in the mind, body and spirit.

Classes include Vitality Yoga, which is a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa techniques, Tai Chi, a form of martial arts, Qi-Gong Yoga, a combination of movement, meditation and Chakra breathing, which is known to help improve blood circulation and strengthen the immune system.

The studio also offers private classes for those interested in one-on-one sessions or visitors who need special help in certain areas as well as a 12-week program for children ages five through eight.

 Vitality Yoga and Tai Chi is open seven days a week and offers classes at different intervals throughout the day. Zen Meditation, Beginner, Breathing and Reiki workshops are also available.

Prices range from $20 for single yoga classes to $1,300 for a year's unlimited membership. Tai Chi classes range from $20 for a trail class to $400 for a 30 classes. Private classes range from $100 to $900.
