Where/When: Al Oerter Recreation Center, 131-40 Fowler Avenue, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. On Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: The kids will enjoy such activities as ghost stories, games, and arts and crafts. Not to mention, there will also be a pumpkin patch and haunted house.

Where/When: . On Friday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Those who dare are invited to come out, with their flashlights, to witness all the hauntings of the shipwreck's past. Muahahahaha! While you're there, you can go on one of the .

Where/When: Queens Zoo, 53-51 111 Street, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. On Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Featured activities include the Haunted Habitat, Spooky Animal Presentations, Face Painting!, Pumpkin Enrichment, and Trick or Treating. The kids will have a blast tying together two of their favorite things, Halloween and animals.

Pricing: Adults, $8; Children (ages 3–12 without a costume) $5; Kids with costumes, Free

 


Where/When:  Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway. On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Why Go: Not only will the family enjoy such festival events as the haunted house, live Western music, along with pony and hayrides, but you can catch the , as well as the , while they're still available.

Pricing: $5 for general admission

 


Where/When: Alley Pond Adventure Course, at Winchester Boulevard South of Grand Central Parkway. On Sunday, at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: All those 8 and older will be able to coast through the air during this frightful feat, to see what it's really like to fly like a ghost.
