FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

• Birding

Where/When: Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Park Drive East and 73rd Terrace. On Saturday, at 10 a.m.

Why Go: You don't know what you can find with your eyes peeled to the sky and trees throughout the park. Let nature be your guide (along with Urban Park Rangers) while you go in search of some winged friends.

Pricing: Free

• Wildlife Weekends

Where/When: Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway. On Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: The kids will get a kick out of all of the interactive time with the animals.

Pricing: Free

• Nutrition Workshop with Live Sip

Where/When: . On Thursday and Friday, at 3:30 p.m.

Why Go: This is a great way to teach kids about healthy eating and nutrition habits, without turning blue in the face. Seriously, teens will learn about some great tips they can use for a lifetime.

Pricing: Free, prior registration required.

• Little Shop of Horrors

Where/When: . On Friday or Saturday, at 7:30 p.m.  

Why Go: Because you're just not ready to say good-bye to the creepiness of Halloween!

Pricing: $10

• Sunday Brunch

Where/When:  . On Sunday, all day.

Why Go: Because you won't have to pay for your kids, those younger than 12 anyhow.

Pricing: Kids eat free, from the kids menu, with an adult entree purchase. Brunch for adults is 14.95 to $16.95.
