Why Go: Along with learning about the cultural tradition of another nation, the kids, 6 to 12 years old, will leave with their very own dragon masks, that they create.

Where/When: . On Saturday, at 11 a.m.

Why Go: Urban Park Rangers will get the kids' imaginations flowing during this nature themed arts and crafts event, which will take place outdoors.

Where/When: World Ice Arena, in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. On Saturday or Sunday, between noon and 4:45 p.m.

Why Go: This is a great way to get the entire family off the couch and out of the house! For those non-skaters, the World Ice Cafe will surely come to your rescue.

Pricing: Admission is $8, skate rentals are $5

 

7th Annual Pre-Lunar New Year Gala and Flower Market

Where/When: Queens Botanical Garden. On Saturday and Sunday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Why Go: From dance performances and live music to cooking and Kung Fu demonstrations, and more, this event will truly have something for everyone in the family.

Sundae on Saturday 

Where/When:  . On Saturday afternoon.

Why Go: Because it doesn't feel like winter, unless you get a little chill in your bones! And the weather just isn't cutting it.
